We are happy to be launching an online “Old Ways Virtual Classroom” where children and adults can learn the old ways of doing things – many things – the old fashioned way by hand. As so many are stuck at home and in distance learning situations we thought it necessary to facilitate “Old Ways” learning that can be done over the computer that can show kids and adults (preferably parents who follow along with their kids) how to develop Old Ways skills.
Forest to Farm – Milling, constructions of all sorts (lathe work, whittling, furniture making, cabin construction and more)
Animal husbandry – goat milking, calving, goat kidding, sheep lambing and more
Cast Iron Cooking, Wood cook stove cooking & baking
Farm to fork – seed saving, seed starts/germination, cold frames/houses, greenhouses, raised beds and gardens
Fiber arts (Sheep wool & Alpaca fiber – weaving, spinning , felting)
